Editing Courses

Modifying a course mid-term can have unexpected consequences. Proceed with caution. We highly recommend making most adjustments before the start of the school term.

To edit a course go to Setup > Courses. (under Curriculum)
There are several groups of information that can be modified on a course: Details, Assignments, and Scheduling.


Details

Multiple details can be changed about a course including name, group of students, teacher, etc. The textbooks that are part of the course can also be modified. Modifying textbooks will not re-generate lessons.


Assignments

Assignments can be added, removed and re-grouped. Each feature is discussed in more detail below.

Inserting an Assignment
You can insert assignments by clicking the Insert icon on the right-hand side of the assignment's details.

Deleting an Assignment
You can delete assignments by clicking the Trashcan icon on the right-hand side of the assignment's details.

Skip Section
To skip a section, click the Skip Section button in the assignments toolbar. This skip was designed as a stand-alone feature and the course should be saved first before performing a skip.
Select the section you would like to skip, then click Confirm Skip. The section will be removed immediately.

Re-add Section
If you would like to re-add a section, click the Re-add Section button in the assignments toolbar.
Select the textbook and the section you would like to re-add. Also select where you'd like to insert the unit. Finally, click Confirm Addition. This feature was designed as a stand-alone feature and will automatically save the new unit.


Scheduling

An overview of the scheduling screen is provided in the Adding Courses article. There are a few key differences however with editing a course after it has been created.
